Bloody Sunday 1920

On this date 85 years ago, agents of the IRA assassinated 14 members of the British intelligence service in Ireland on Michael Collins' orders. These members, part of the "Cairo Gang", were the spearhead for the British intelligence reports in Ireland.
Later on that same day, 14 innocent civilians were massacred by the legendary Black and Tans while attending a football match.

This incident was the deciding factor for the British to pull out of the lower 26 counties of Ireland.
